On the morning of August 25, 2023, a delegation including Jiaozuo City Mayor Li Yibo, Deputy Mayor Zong Jiazhen, Secretary-General of the Municipal Government Han Guoqing, Secretary of the Macun District Committee Shi Shaohui, and Deputy Director of the Municipal Commerce Bureau Li Xiaolin visited the EU-China Joint Innovation Center. They had a friendly discussion with Center Director Zhou Ruixue, Deputy Directors Zhang Shasha and Huang Chun, and Industrial Consultant Wang Zihong on cooperation in industrial parks and new energy investment.

Mayor Li Yibo of Jiaozuo City and his delegation had a meeting with Director Zhou Ruixue and her team at the EU-China Joint Innovation Center.

At the meeting, Director Zhou Ruixue first introduced the basic situation of the EU-China Joint Innovation Center and the progress of the European (China Region) Innovation Center project in several first-tier cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen to Mayor Li Yibo and his delegation. Deputy Director Li Xiaolin of Jiaozuo City Commerce Bureau also introduced the “One City One Capital One Base” industrial development situation in Jiaozuo City to the center team. Afterwards, both sides conducted in-depth discussions on building industrial parks and cooperation in new energy fields. Secretary Shi Shaohui of Macun District in Jiaozuo City expressed his welcome for the European (China Region) Innovation Center project to land in Jiaozuo City. He looks forward to detailed docking on practical cooperation in industrial parks and new energy investment fields, and formulating specific work plans and promotion plans.

During the talks, Mayor Li Yibo looked forward to cooperating with the EU-China Joint Innovation Center in Sino-European industrial innovation. He particularly approved of building a Sino-European themed characteristic industrial park in Jiaozuo and cooperating in subdivided fields such as new energy power generation and methanol fuel cells.
