On December 6, 2023, the APEC Digital Industry and Trade Innovation Development Conference and Cross-Border Cloud Business Entrepreneurs Meeting was held at the Lakeside Art Hall of Cartier Garden in Tianfu New District, Sichuan. The conference aimed to explore topics such as digital industry innovation and upgrading, building regional industrial chain and supply chain, inclusive trade, regional economic integration, etc., and promote the cooperation and development of the digital economy in the Asia-Pacific region. The conference invited about 100 representatives from enterprises, consulates, business and academic circles from the “Belt and Road” partner countries.

As an important guest of the conference, Zhang Shasha, deputy director of the EU-China Joint Innovation Center, gave a keynote speech at the conference, elaborating on the development trend of the digital economy, the value and challenges of digital trade, the mission and vision of the EU-China Joint Innovation Center, etc. She shared the experience and achievements of the EU-China Joint Innovation Center in promoting China-EU digital economy cooperation, demonstrated the positive role of the EU-China Joint Innovation Center in promoting the development of digital trade in the Asia-Pacific and Europe, and aroused enthusiastic response and positive interaction from the participants.
