EUCJIC Jointly Launched First Cloud Roadshow of the Global Roadshow Alliance for

The launching ceremony and first cloud roadshow of the Global Roadshow Alliance for World Cultural Cities, which jointly initiated by the EU-China Joint Innovation Center (EUCJIC) and the National Business Daily Roadshow (NBD Roadshow) was held in Chengdu on October 29. The Global Roadshow Alliance for World Cultural Cities aims to invite and cooperate with innovation and entrepreneurship leaders and investors from all over the world who are interested in promoting international cooperation to jointly create a platform for project exchange, industrial interaction and financing connection. Mr. Patrick Nijs, Former Belgian Ambassador to China, Life Honorary Ambassador and Co-Founder of the EUCJIC, Mr. Peter Huang, Deputy Director of the EUCJIC, Mr. Li Ke, Deputy General Manager of Chengdu Media Group, Mr. Feng Ming, Executive General Manager of the NBD, Mr. Huang Qinghua, Director Of Membership Department of Sichuan Investment Fund Association, Mr. Huang Xiaoyi, Deputy General Manager of Chengdu Tianfu Cultural And Creative Equity Investment Fund Management, Mr. Liu Feng, Director of NBD Roadshow and other guests jointly unveiled the Global Roadshow Alliance for World Cultural Cities. Meanwhile, Mr. Rafael Cascales, President of Spain China Tourism Association and Managing Director of CASICO, Mr. Tomaz Amon, President of the Slovene Chinese Friendship Association, Mr. Miguel Angel, General Manager of Interexpo Co., and Director of the Malaga Interactive Museum of Music, Mr. Konstantinos Korniotakis, Former Secretary General of Hellenic-Chinese Chamber and Owner & Managing Director of "diexodos techniki", and other international participants of the Global Roadshow Alliance for World Cultural Cities also sent their congratulations online for its establishment. They are excited to participate in the roadshow activities organized by the Global Roadshow Alliance in the future so as to promote innovation exchange and cooperation between Europe and China.

Mr. Feng Ming, Executive General Manager of the NBD, said that in order to promote the high-quality development of Chengdu’s innovation industry, the city is now speeding up the construction of a world famous innovation city and an innovative financial ecological system with the six major functions of "Roadshow + Incubation + Exhibition + Finance + Transaction + Training". As a representative of the domestic mainstream financial media, the NBD has paid highly attention to and had an in-depth coverage of the global innovation and entrepreneurship. He believes that together with the EUCJIC, the Global Roadshow Alliance for World Cultural Cities will bring new atmosphere for the exchange of innovation industries between China and the EU.

In his speech, Mr. Patrick Nijs, Former Belgian Ambassador to China, Life Honorary Ambassador and Co-Founder of the EUCJIC mentioned that the EUCJIC is honored to work with the NBD and other partners on establishing the Global Roadshow Alliance for World Cultural Cities to build a global communication platform by using their own advantageous resources. The alliance has been effectively combine European advanced technology and innovation enterprises with China's vast market and excellent investment partners. With the help of the alliance, more outstanding European projects will have more direct and in-depth exchanges with Chinese innovation partners in the future. It has built a new platform for international innovation exchanges to strengthen industry-university-research-application cooperation and a new channel for the full cooperation between European and Chinese innovation industries.

It is worth noting that the Global Roadshow Alliance for World Cultural Cities has received strong support from partners at home and abroad. In the online signing ceremony, Mr. Konstantinos Korniotakis, Former Secretary General of Hellenic-Chinese Chamber and Owner & Managing Director of "diexodos techniki" expressed that as China's gateway to Europe, Greece is looking forward to in-depth cooperation with China in infrastructure, transportation, energy, and culture. Actually, cultural exchange has become one of the most important aspects of China-Greece cooperation. China's Greek culture year was successfully held, and many important cultural activities in China has Greek participants. Under the current epidemic situation, he hopes that China and Greece can support and help each other by promoting trade and investment that are of interest to both sides. Greece is ready to successfully host the Greek-Chinese Cultural Tourism Year in 2021 to promote dialogue between the two civilizations and jointly advance the construction of the Belt and Road.

In the online signing ceremony, Mr. Rafael Cascales, President of Spain China Tourism Association and Managing Director of CASICO, said that he is pleased to join the Global Roadshow Alliance for World Cultural Cities and hopes Spain and China can work together in the field of tourism and reshape a tourism boom.

In his speech, Mr. Miguel Angel, General Manager of Interexpo Co., and Director of the Malaga Interactive Museum of Music welcomed more Chinese intuitions and enterprises to held roadshows in Spain. He also mentioned that he would hold a special road show for the Spanish interactive exhibition project through the platform of the Global Roadshow Alliance for World Cultural Cities.

At the launching ceremony, Mr. Huang Qinghua, Director of Membership Department of Sichuan Investment Fund Association mentioned that many popular IP products such as " Nezha: The Devil Child Comes into the World", "the Glory of the King" and " One Hundred Thousand Bad Jokes" have now emerged in Chengdu. He believed that the establishment of the alliance would further promote Chengdu's innovation to go out and bring in. Sichuan Investment Fund Association will build various forms of bridges connecting the industrial and financing field to better promote private funds to help the development of the real economy.

After the launching ceremony, the first cloud roadshow of the Global Roadshow Alliance for World Cultural Cities was officially held. Seven outstanding cultural projects at home and abroad, including EU Diplomat Town, China-EU Film Festival, Interactive Exhibitions in Spain: From Traditional Museums to Modern Smart Museums, UP3 EU-China Art and Culture Innovation Base, Mortise and Tenon Game, China-Croatia Special Museum, and Chengdu Lacquerware Project has been presented. The roadshow platform has given them the great opportunities to cooperate with domestic and foreign innovation funds and investment institutions.

The first cloud roadshow of the Global Roadshow Alliance for World Cultural Cities has received great support from Beijing Vhall, Shenzhen Diyi Luyan, Hunan Xiangjiang Ventures and Shanghai Xing Dongli and invited nearly 50 representatives from many local and national VC institutions as well as innovation and entrepreneurship enterprises to participate. At the same time, the event was also broadcast online through the SA City, NBD’s roadshow platform. There are nearly half a million online viewers in total. In addition, the English version of SA City World Cultural Cities was also officially launched on October 29, with more than 30 domestic and foreign cooperation projects released.

In the future, the "Global Roadshow Alliance for World Cultural Cities" will held regularly online and on-site innovation project roadshows with the objectives of joint innovation and common development. The alliance is aiming to strengthen the communication and cooperation between upstream and downstream enterprises in the global innovation industry chain, and achieve international innovation cooperation.
