On April 30th, the delegation headed by Mr. Gai Lin, Secretary-General of the EU-China Friendship Group in the European Parliament and Mr. Zhou Ruixue, Director of the EU-China Joint Innovation Center (EUCJIC), visited the China Electric Power Planning & Engineering Institute (EPPEI), having friendly talks with Mr. Xie Qiuye, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the EPPEI.

Secretary-General Gai Lin introduced the basic information of the recently established the “Belt & Road” policy communication committee in the European Parliament and the related work recently carried out by the EUCJIC. He appreciated the achievements made by EPPEI in carrying out practical energy cooperation with European countries.

At the meeting, both sides agreed to make full use of their own resources and advantages in the future, and will jointly carry out pragmatic cooperation in the areas of “Belt & Road” related policy communication and European innovative energy technologies.  After the meeting, Secretary General Gai Lin, Director Zhou Ruixue and others visited the national new energy power consumption monitoring and early warning platform.  The National New Energy Consumption Monitoring and Early Warning Center introduced the operation mechanism and demonstrated the function of the platform.
