On December 20, 2018, Mr. Tao Shixiang, Executive Vice District Mayor of Shapingba District of Chongqing Municipal People’s Government, and Mr. Hu Yanbo, Deputy General Manager of Chongqing Mindrely City Construction Investment Co., Ltd. visited the office of EU-China Joint Innovation Center (EUCJIC) and welcomed by Mr. Shan Qiang, Deputy Director of EUCJIC, Mr. Huang Chun, Deputy Director of EUCJIC, and Mr. Jiang Bin, Director of Comprehensive Cooperation Center. Mr. Michael Hsih, Chief Representative Officer of Beijing Representative Office of Deutsche Borse Group, Mr. Joe Huang, Managing Partner and Chief Operating Officer of PIIP Group, and other partners of EUCJIC also joined the meeting. In-depth discussions on the EU China Joint Innovation Base Project establishing in Shapingba District of Chongqing city has been made during the meeting.
Mr. Shan, Deputy Director of EUCJIC welcomed Mr. Tao and the delegation first. Then Mr. Peter Huang, Deputy Director of EUCJIC has given a detailed introduction to the EU-China Joint Innovation Center and the EU-China Joint Innovation Base Project. Mr. Tao Shixiang welcomed the EU China Joint Innovation Base Project establishing in Shapingba District of Chongqing Municipality. He mentioned that as the start point of the Chongqing-Sinkiang-Europe International Railway, Shapingba have favorable regional advantages as well as many unique advantages in science, education, culture and health, including the profound educational background with 16 universities and 6 Grade-A Tertiary Hospital, the complete medical facilities, China（Chongqing） Pilot Free Trade Zone and China（Chongqing）Comprehensive Bonded Zone. Shapingba District provides a comprehensive guarantee for the successful establishment of the EU-China Joint Innovation Base Project.
After over all communication and discussion, both sides reached a consensus on the EU China Joint Innovation Base Project establishing in Shapingba District of Chongqing City and agreed to start following ups of the implement of the project immediately.
