On December 20th, 2018, a delegation led by Mrs. Xiaopei Yan, Vice-Chairman of China Zhi Gong Party visited the EU-China Joint Innovation Center (EUCJIC), and met with Mr. Ruixue Zhou, Director of the EUCJIC, Mr. Fukuan Chen, Vice-Director of the EUCJIC, and Mrs. Shasha Zhang, Director of European Affairs. 

During the meeting, Mr. Zhou welcomed Mrs. Yan and the delegation, and briefed Mrs. Yan that EUCJIC is an international non-governmental commonweal organization, which was initiated by the EU-China Friendship Group in the European Parliament, along with statesmen, entrepreneurs, innovation institutions from EU Member states in Brussels. Currently the EUCJIC is focusing on three China-EU bilateral projects: EU-China Joint Innovation Base, EU Diplomat Towns and China-EU Film Festival. He expressed that the EUCJIC is committed to facilitating technological innovation, cultural innovation exchanges and cooperation between China and EU. He also expressed that the EUCJIC is willing to strengthen the established comprehensive cooperation with China Zhi Gong Party after jointly organized the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Participating in the “Belt and Road” Initiative Forum with China Zhi Gong Party Guangdong Committee. 

Mrs. Yan was impressed by the effort that the EUCJIC has done to EU-China cooperation, and said that since the establishment of Zhi Gong Party in 1925, it has been following the motto of “Committed to public interest and collaborating with overseas Chinese to serve the country” and maintained connection with many associations of overseas Chinese, in order to help and connect with each other from home and abroad, and to embrace peace and development. Mrs. Yan also stated that China Zhi Gong Party will continue to serve as a bridge between different sides, and collaborate with the EUCJIC in the aforementioned three projects, especially when jointly promoting EU-China cooperation and mutual benefit. 

The friendly meeting concluded with the mutual consensus that the EUCJIC and the China Zhi Gong Party will continue to push forward the EU-China friendship with joint effort.
